This camp is dedicated to young artists looking to understand how to draw people and portraits more accurately. Each day will be a different portrait and campers/students will follow along. We will also look at proportions and stylizing for cartoons and anime. Your instructor, Jason Budowski (view his portfolio), was recently featured in the de Young Open with his portrait of a “Girl on the Beach”. He will walk you through the beginning phases of a portrait. Learn better proportions, accurate details and underlying forms.

• This camp is intended for 12-16 years old.

What do I bring?

• A mixed-media sketch book – the larger the better.
• Bring any of your own materials you’d like, but we have all supplies here.
• Clothing that you can get messy in: Acrylic paints are permanent.
• Campers need to bring lunch, snacks and a water bottle.  No nuts allowed on premises.

• Please relate any allergies directly to us prior to first day of camp.
• A signed waiver will be required by parent or guardian by or on first day of camp.
• There is no early drop off for this camp.
• There is no late pick up for this camp.
