Event Type

This week is studio art time for young artists to make amazing art. Your limit is your imagination. Some students will have a very specific task, painting or story they’d like to work on, others can follow along with the different topic each day. Mr. Budowski will help you plan, problem solve and coach you all along the way. This art camp is less structured and it is important that you love art and are looking to improve your work, create a portfolio, or learn some new skills that you have in mind. Things we will learn: Portfolio Building, Long Term Projects, Big Artworks, Realism, and Portraits.

  • For high school students this is the perfect opportunity to start or continue building a portfolio for college and art shows.
  • For middle school students looking to apply to high schools with prestigious art programs, Mr. B will guide you to improve your artwork and build a breathtaking portfolio. He’s helped a few students get into Ruth Asawa SOTA.
  • Summer will be perfect to hang out with the garage door open, listen to loud music, create amazing artwork and enjoy your summer.
  • This camp is intended for 12-16 years old. Exceptions for younger students are made on an individual basis for maturity – contact Mr. B with questions.

What do I bring?

  • A mixed-media sketch book – the larger the better.
  • Bring any of your own materials you’d like, but we have all supplies here.
  • Clothing that you can get messy in: Acrylic paints are permanent.
  • Campers need to bring lunch, snacks and a water bottle.  No nuts allowed on premises.
