After-School Art Classes for Elementary Aged Kids

This class runs from September to end of May. We are currently not offering this class as we are in summer camp season! Take a look at our camp lineup.

Regular enrichment and exposure to arts is so important for childhood development.  During the school year, we offer after-school art classes for elementary aged kids. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with diverse art mediums such as watercolor, oil pastel, acrylic, sketching, crafts, and more during the course. Join us this semester!

  • We offer an inclusive 1st – 5th Grade group.
  • Classes begin with a whole-group introduction to an art topic, customized and scaffolded based on the age group and skill range.
  • All materials will be provided, and no experience necessary to enroll.

2025 After-School Art Classes for Elementary Aged Kids:

Join 1 day a week: Tuition is $150 per month which includes one 90 minute classes per week (modified during months with holidays).

Join 2 days a week: Tuition is $300 per month which includes two 90 minute classes per week (modified during months with holidays).

Drop in for a single class: $42 for one 90 minute class.

  • Classes are Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:45 pm.
  • Students who are not enrolled for the semester are welcome to drop-in on individual classes through our calendar of events.
  • All sales are final, but if you if you miss your class due to an illness you have 2 weeks to reschedule your art class.

Monthly Subscription Terms

Our monthly subscription provides access to weekly classes on your chosen day (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday) for each calendar month. Payments are due on the first of the month, with no autopayment option. To simplify billing, we offer prorated fees for the first month only, if applicable, so everyone can align with our regular payment schedule.

This subscription model is not based on a per-class “ticket” system; rather, it provides consistent access to classes each month. Most months include four weekly sessions, though some months may have three or five, depending on the calendar. We recommend committing to a full year, as this helps balance out the occasional variation in the number of sessions per month and offers the best learning experience over time.

As you register you can pick the day you like (pending it’s not full), and that becomes your set day of the week for your classes. Due to space limitations, changing days is not permitted without prior approval from the studio. However, if you miss a class due to illness, you are allowed one makeup session per month, which must be scheduled and attended within 30 days of the absence, subject to availability.

Overview for Students First Semester:
Each 90 minute class will begin with a whole-group introduction to an art topic, followed by time to experiment with diverse art mediums such as water color, oil pastel, acrylic, sketching, crafts, and more. Student artwork will be displayed in the art studio, and get to be brought home as a keepsake. Students will be introduced to foundational art concepts such as color theory and studio practices of the mind.

Program Details:
This program is intended for students in Grades 1st – 5th who are looking to experience enrichment and community in the arts. Students will have both guidance from the instructor and creative freedom, while also learning foundational art principles to be able to apply to future artistic endeavors and courses.

If you are located south from San Francisco neighborhoods, we are within a 15-20 minute drive of the following neighborhoods: Parkside, Sunset District(s), Ingleside, Excelsior, West Portal, Twin Peaks, Noe Valley, and Glen Park. If that seems far, keep in mind parking! We have a plethora of easy parking options right in front of our studio that will rival most studios in the city for convenience. You are welcome to drop off your student for the 90 minute duration and venture out to the Peninsula – from local cafes in scenic Pacifica to shopping at Serramonte Center!
