Welcome to Young Masters Art Studio located in Sharp Park, Pacifica, Ca.

This art class is a semester long. Join us Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays for this after school art class dedicated to learning the foundation of realism. Students will learn/continue the fundamentals of classical realism and then be encouraged to develop their own style. This class is for ages 11 through 17. Classes start at 4:00 pm and run until 6:30 pm.  All students will have a materials list they will be responsible for bringing their first day of class and all semester.

Mediums we’ll be working with:

• Drawing in pencil and charcoal
• Acrylic painting or introduction oil paintings
• Scupture in different mediums

Program Details:

Young Masters Art Studio is a focused art program for students ages 11–17, from beginners to advanced young artists. Students receive hands-on instruction in drawing, painting, and realism, developing the skills needed to create accurate, detailed artwork.

Students study observational drawing, portraiture, composition, color, painting techniques, and drawing from imagination while developing their own artistic abilities and creative style.

Jason Budowski is a portrait and seascape artists whose artwork was accepted into the de Young Open in 2023. In 2017, he was hired to bring classical realism to 5th – 8th graders at Adda Clevenger in San Francisco. The curriculum was quickly modified to a more direct and engaging approach to learning art and realism.

At Bay Area Art School, students learn how to draw and paint from observation, reference, and imagination. They explore a wide range of art materials, methods, techniques, styles, and theories, building skills for personal artistic development as well as preparation for advanced high school, college, and fine-art study.

Realism Art Studio is for kids aged 11 – 17

Artists younger than 11 years old may join by invitation or audition only. Previously enrolled students are welcome to return until they are 18 or graduate high school.
