Murals, street art, Pop art and art that says rage against the machine! This camp is a small group of 1:6, teacher/student ratio. We’ll be taking outdoor field trips through some iconic spots in SF 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday – Friday. After a 90 minute lunch and return to your home, afternoons will be 3 hours of art: creating art that tells your truths or shouts against the establishment. We’ll also look at artists who are mavericks and learn how to create art that is iconic and important in today’s society.
Camp Details:
- This is a 5 day outside in-person AND online camp via Zoom with Mr. Budowski
- Students will need rides from parents/guardians at specific locations in San Francisco.
- A waiver by parent/legal guardian MUST be signed and handed in 10:00 am first day of camp (in-person).
- Parent chaperones are welcome to join us for the urban hikes.
- Camp week starts June 28: Monday through Friday
- Camp hours are 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Age requirement is 9-15 years old
- If you are older than 15 and would like to be a Jr. Assistant, contact Mr. Budowski
Materials Required:
- Outside: small cameras, sketchbook, pencils, erasers, pens, water, snacks and masks. Prepare for an urban hike where we stop and talk, take pictures and draw.
- Zoom: sketchbooks, pencils, erasers, and at least 1 color medium of your choice.
