Welcome to Realism Art Studio located in Sharp Park, Pacifica, Ca.

This studio class is a semester long. Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays for this after school art class dedicated to learning realism. Students will learn/continue the fundamentals of classical realism and then be encouraged to develop their own style. This class is for ages 11 through 15. Classes start at 4:00 pm and run until 6:30 pm.  All students will have a materials list they will be responsible for bringing their first day of class and all semester.

Mediums we’ll be working with:

• Drawing in pencil and charcoal
• Introduction Oil Paintings, or
• Acrylic Painting and Realism.

Program Details:

This program is intended for beginners and advanced students looking to learn realism or understand fundamentals to drawing more accurate and detailed work. This is focused group with hands on instruction about creating highly accurate artwork.

This is an Artists’ Atelier

Jason Budowski is a portrait and seascape artists with a painting recently accepted into the de Young Open in 2023. In 2017, he was hired to bring classical realism to 5th – 8th graders at Adda Clevenger in San Francisco. The curriculum was quickly modified to a more direct and engaging approach to learning art and realism. Here at Bay Area Art School, students will learn how to draw anything and everything – including from imagination.

Realism Art Studio is for kids aged 11 – 15

Artists younger than 11 years old may join by invitation or audition only. Previously enrolled students older than 15 years olds are welcome to return until they are 18 or graduate high school.
