Welcome to Realism Art Studio located at Bay Area Art School, in Pacifica, Ca.

This studio class is a semester long. Join us Thursdays for this introduction to realism where students will learn the fundamentals of classical realism. Thursdays after school are for ages are 12 through 16. Classes start at 3:30 pm and run until 6:00 pm.  All students will have a materials list they will be responsible for bringing their first day of class and all semester.

Overview for Fall Semester:

• Drawing in pencil and charcoal
• Introduction Oil Paintings, or
• Acrylic Painting and Realism.

Program details:

This program is intended for beginners and intermediate students looking to learn realism or get a new perspective on classical realism.  This is focused group with hands on instruction about creating highly accurate artwork.

Is this an Artists’ Atelier?

The short answer is yes.  The long answer is that Mr. Budowski was hired to bring classical realism when he was first hired as an art teacher to 5th – 8th graders at Adda Clevenger in San Francisco. The classical realism curriculum was modified to a more direct approach to learning realism. Students will learn how to draw anything and everything – including from imagination.
