About Mr. Budowski
Who is Jason Budowski?
I am an art teacher in San Francisco, CA. I’ve had the unique privilege of teaching 5th through 8th graders and developing content that challenges my students at each level as they get older and learn to see the world around them. I have a BA from UC Davis in Fine Art, have learned from Wayne Thiebaud, and have been trained in classical realism from various instructors. Everything else I’ve self-taught or have learned from my students. I teach a modified method of classical realism that I’ve developed to allow all my students to be able to draw well (and not get bored). For those who love art, they will learn to draw extremely well, really fast. I am a can-do teacher and will always have an answer. That’s a big statement but I stand by my method: Learn the Budowski basics and learn to draw anything!

Online Art Camps with Mr. Budowski
During what would have been spring break this year (beginning of shelter-in-place 2020), I ran 2 online art camps and it was a blast! What a great way to spend time at home with friends and fellow artists doing cool artwork. Students follow along with demos as well as work on their own projects in a collaborative (online) environment. I provide hands-on edits and critiques in real-time. Fridays were usually troubleshooting days where students bring their own questions about art and get answers.
